Virginia Howard, 93, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013. Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Arlington Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: 11 a.m. Wednesday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: Noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Arlington Funeral Home. Virginia Howard was born Margaret Virginia Cozort in the small farming community of Annona, Texas, in 1919. Following completion of schooling, she went to work as a telegraph operator at the T&P railroad in Kent, Texas. There Virginia met Stanley Howard in 1942, and they married in 1943. Following World War II, she and Stanley had three children and Virginia quit working to raise this family. She later became a nurse and worked for several years at Arlington Memorial Hospital. Virginia enjoyed quilting and crocheting, church activities and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Howard, in 2009. Survivors: Daughters, Mary Shipp and husband, Gary, and Patricia Nasky and husband, David; son, Richard Howard and wife, Donna; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
