Wilburn Lee Jenkins, 76, passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, in Bossier City, La. . Mr. Jenkins was born Oct. 22, 1937, in Fort Worth. Wilburn graduated from Handley High School in 1955 and attended college at Arlington State and the University of Texas
in Tyler. He was an Eagle Scout and served in the United States Air Force and Reserves from 1958 to 1965. As a design and production engineer, he worked in the plastics industry for over 50 years. He and his family moved to the Jacksonville area in 1976. He enjoyed traveling all over North America with his cherished wife. Wilburn attended Rocky Spring Baptist Church in Dialville. Survivors: His wife of 54 years, Ellen Adell Jenkins of Jacksonville; sons, Bret Lee Jenkins of San Antonio and Scot Robert Jenkins and wife, Keri, of Singapore; grandsons, Greg, Garrett and Nathan Jenkins; sister, Joyce Miller and husband, Dan; and several nieces and nephews.
