William B. O'Brien, 92, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2014. Service: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 29, in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 28, at Greenwood. Bill was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and raised in the Boston, Mass., area. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 to 1945 as a bombardier. He graduated from Boston University in 1949. Bill held various financial positions in the Boston area, upstate New York and Fort Worth. Over his lifetime he traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, Japan and Central America and was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge
124. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean M. O'Brien, and son, Kevin O'Brien. Survivors: Sons, Brad and David O'Brien; daughter, Judi Edstrom and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Michael Edstrom, Katie Tarsha, Zachary Edstrom, Austin O'Brien and Tori O'Brien; four great-grandchildren; and sister, Marion Campanelli.
