Danny Kirk was a mentor to me during my career with the Pepsi Bottling Group. My wife and I were the first couple that Danny married as a pastor in Feb. of 1986. The is a wonderful friend, and he will be missed greatly.

Lady Lori and family, I did not know Pastor Kirk, but my mother once heard him preach at her church and said "He sure was a singing preacher and had a beautiful voice." Well now he can sing his beautiful voice to our LORD face to face! Please know that God said he would "give us beauty for our ashes." May God bless you and your son's brave hearts.

Although I did not know Pastor Kirk, my heart goes out to the family, church family and community. I can't help to say that the interview with the football team really blessed me to hear these young men speak so highly of this man of God. It has taken me a week to find the words to even speak after this tragic event. I loved Danny, he was my brother and my friend, a man who loved God and was not ashamed, he also loved his family dearly and he loved his Mother. My entire family was heart broken by this, especially my Dad Pastor Anderson who was Danny's Father in the ministry. My prayer is that in the coming days, weeks and even years we will all find healing and strength through God's word and His promises. Danny was a humble man, who had big ideas and wanted to make his dash count, you know the line that they put in between the day you're born and the day you leave here. Well Danny you did it! you made it count, and I believe God was truly pleased and the angels rejoiced to receive you. Danny was a servant leader and didn't mind helping you if you needed it, he always had some good advise in the right direction, because he wanted to help people especially young people. He had a great sense of humor and could say some silly stuff to make you laugh and he had a great laugh, a real laugh. Danny, I'll miss not hearing your voice, are seeing your larger than life presence when you enter a room, I'll especially miss hearing you and Dad crack on one another out of love, like you so often did and then just laugh at your own selves. I know you're alright now, and I'll see you Heaven. And to your Family Lori and D.J. just know God always has a Ram in the Bush, stay prayful Gods hears you. God bless you. Sloan.

Pastor kirk was the best pastor that ever lived. October the 29th was truly a mixed day you see a saint went to be with The Lord but I also lost a great spiritual leader and one I truly called my friend . I know this isn't our home and yes I know God had to allow one of his chosen to be touched as he allowed Job and yes both God knew wouldn't let him down I salute my friend I praise you for all the great work he done in 53yrs. To the family believe this if Danny wasn't ready he wouldn't be gone God always takes the best and on the 29th of October he did just that know this D.j. Pastor Kirk will always be in our hearts. He shared so many special moments with us. Being our Pastor for over 4 years, marrying our oldest daughter, playing golf with my Uncle who would visit us from Conn. and spending precious moment with my 99 year old grandmother. We loved him and will miss his.

Pastor kirk was in LA a few weeks ago, we played in a Charity Golf Tournament. He had to leave before it was announced that our team had WON, first place! yes, I have his golf trophy, it will remain in my cabinet as a reminder of a wonderful spirit that did Gods work even while he was having fun! RIP Danny, you were an inspiration to me and all other Marlin Bulldogs who were blessed enough to know you. I will never forget having to tackle you in the "Door Drill" when you were a senior and I was a sophomore.
