Arthur W. Goosens, beloved son and brother, died suddenly on Monday, April 1, 2013. Service: Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Monday, April 8, Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Vigil: 1 p.m. Sunday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole where a visitation will continue until 3. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please consider Meals on Wheels, 320 South Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas 76104. Arthur William Goosens was born Feb. 14, 1956, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in Newport, R.I., to Al and Stella Goosens. Arthur graduated from Castleberry High School and earned two associate degrees from Tarrant County Junior College. He served in the U.S. Navy from June 10, 1974, to June 9, 1978. Arthur was a kind and generous person who not only was a distributor for Meals on Wheels but also volunteered to deliver those meals. For many years, he also managed little league baseball teams where he was remembered as an excellent teacher and coach. Survivors: parents, Al and Stella Goosens; brother and sisters, Jeanne Fix and husband, Rob, Donald Goosens and wife, Kandy, Anne Johns and husband, Curt, and Mary Goosens; nephews and nieces, Justin and Jeremy Huber, Daniella Huber Liebold and Melody Goosens Inglesby; and his beloved chihuahua, Doc.
