Carl Malcolm Milam Jr. Obituary
Carl Malcolm Milam Jr., 77, passed away Friday, Nov. 22, 2013. Service: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Pantigo Bible Church, 8001 Anderson Blvd., Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a ; the Parkinson's Support Group of Tarrant County, P.O. Box 939, Hurst, Texas 76053; the Methodist Children's Home, 1111 Herring Ave., Waco, Texas 76708; or the Salvation Army. Carl was born June 15, 1936, in Lamar County to Carl M. Milam and Nanny Vada Hightower Milam. He was raised in Waco at the Methodist Children's Home from the age of 9. He graduated from Waco High School and then joined the U.S. Air Force where he became an air traffic controller. He retired from the Federal Aviation Agency in 1981 and then worked for American Airlines until he was 65, and then retired for good. Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Ann York Milam; son, Mike and his wife, Lisa; daughters, Stephanie Pont and husband, Tim, Dawne McElroy and husband, David, Kelly Chappell, Misty Johnson and husband, Kevin. He loved his children and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Carl is also survived by brothers, John and wife, Elaine, James and wife, Laura, Jerry and wife, Dora; and sister, Cathy Esparza. He had numerous nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him tremendously.
