Christine Cook Uselton Obituary
Christine Cook Uselton, 82, went peacefully into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 9 to 10 a.m. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to Alzheimer's research. In 1948 she married Robert E. Uselton and remained married to him for 65 years. Chris' life was filled with working in children's ministries, Volunteers of America in the late 1960s and later with the Social Service Registry of All Saints Hospital with homebound patients. After retiring, her heart and soul were dedicated to the Lord and her family and grandkids. Our hearts and minds are forever filled with the memories of her stories of her childhood and travels with her brothers and sister. Chris was preceded in death by her parents, R.E. and Lillie Cook; and brothers, David Cook and Leroy Cook. Survivors: Her husband of 65 years, Robert E. Uselton of Burleson; son, Paul Uselton and wife, Annie Uselton, of Granbury; daughter, Tammy Brown and husband, Jim Brown, of Burleson; sister, Carolyn Goza and husband, Pete Goza, of Cameron; brother, John Cook and wife, Jane Cook, of Cleburne; grandchildren, Jimbob Brown of Burleson, Ashley Brown of Burleson, Amy Snellings of Florida and Christy Uselton of Florida; and great-grandchildren, Austin and Shawn.
