Dear Ate Monet, Alan, Antonio, Alexander,
The Tagalog word "kuya" means brother. Kuya Chuck was not just our cousin, but we cousins feel that we are also brothers and sisters. So, our loss of Kuya Chuck really hits home. People that know him will always remember how he would always have that smile when talking to you. We will miss him. Indeed, Kuya Chuck is in our Maker's hands now so he is in a better place. - Arthur, Eva, Christiana, Michael

Ate Monette, you have our entire family's deepest condolences. Kuya Chuck was like a brother to all of us, certainly more than just a cousin. He was with us last year when Dad was seriously ill. He helped Mom out in the hospital. We're going to miss him. Our only consolation is that he is with the Lord. We will pray that the Lord assuage your loss and bless you and the kids so that the pain of Kuya Chuck's loss will be easier to bear. We are sure that Kuya Chuck is in heaven enjoying eternal life with our Lord Jesus Christ. God bless! - Inky

Dear Dr. M. de Castro and Family,
We are all very very sad to hear the heartbreaking news. It came as a shock to us and I know to you too. We were informed just this afternoon by a friend (who is a nurse) that she learned from a doctor that she works with that they were your neighbors before. Although our lives will all come to an end in Gods' time, it's still hard to accept that that someone like him, of the kind of person that he was, someone that had alot to offer to the world, could be gone so soon.
We are so very sorry for your loss and the way he died. We pray that you will be comforted and may God be with all of you through these hard times that you are facing. God bless and take care.

de Castro Family -

We are deeply sorry for your loss. I hope you know we are here for all of you should you so need it.

I remember Chuck as a very caring person. When Alan and I were running our wildly successful DJ business in the early high school years, Dr. D was there helping us every step of the way.

When, at one of our 4 or 5 gigs ever, our stereo blew out and 50 fifth-graders were left with no music to dance to, he came to the rescue and brought his home stereo up to the dance. Needless to say, he saved the day.

Thanks again Dr. de Castro. We will miss you.

Words are not feelings but they are the only way humans can commute our emotions to one another. In times when things around us are unexplainable there is only one answer. The fact that Chuck is with the one who created the answers for us all is a comfort to me. In my heart I know Chuck is with us still in his enduring spirit. His light shone brightest when he smiled at us then in his soft-spoken manner would instruct us and comfort us and let us know all is going to be alright. I’ve struggled as of late with his passing but I know he would say to me to go ahead in confidence and humility because our journey here is about those around us and not just the journey itself. Chuck now walks with the one that instilled his wisdom and calm manner within him. That is now my comfort and solace. I know that those who have chosen to follow a Godly life like Chuck did will walk with him again.
My prayers and heartfelt condolences go out to you, his family, at this time. If there is anything I can do for you please don’t hesitate to contact me: email: [email protected] .
I hope the peace and wisdom that comes from knowing God will guide you through these times.

Monette, a prayer for you: "Lord Jesus Christ, during Your earthly life You showed compassion to those who had lost a loved one. Turn Your compassionate eyes on me in my sorrow over the loss of my life’s partner. Fill this emptiness until we are together again in Your heavenly kingdom as a reward for our earthly service. Help me to cope with my loss by relying on You even more than before. Teach me to adapt to the new conditions of my life and to continue doing Your will. Enable me to avoid withdrawing from life and make me give myself to others more readily, so that I may continue to live in Your grace and to do the task that You have laid out for me."
