Donna Lee Eskridge-Morrison, affectionately known as "Grammy," 63, passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, at home surrounded by her family, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Memorial service: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials: The family requests that, in lieu of memorials and flowers, a donation be made in Donna's name to Alzheimer's and Dementia research at North Central Texas, 2630 West Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas 76102. Donna was born Sept. 23, 1949, in Roswell, N.M., to Billy Joe and Betty Jean Eskridge. She was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Donna's father was career Air Force so she lived in several cities prior to his retirement, and they eventually settled in White Settlement where she attended Brewer High School and met her future husband, Randy Morrison. Donna and Randy eloped to Mexico at the age of 17. They were happily married for 46 years and had four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Billy Joe and Betty Jean Eskridge of White Settlement, and one brother, Patrick Killough of Denver. Survivors: Husband of 46 years, Randy L. Morrison of North Richland Hills; daughters, Laura Phelps and husband, Greg, of Fort Worth, Mitzi Hobbs and husband, James, of Keller, Michele Phillips and husband, Kenneth, of Alvord; son, Randy W. Morrison of Haslet; sister, Holly Eskridge of Arlington; brothers, Jerry Killough and wife, Cheryl, of Aledo, Mike Jonzen and wife, Monatee, of Virginia; grandchildren, Roxanne Jendal, Jacob Morrison, Kane Morrison, Brendan Morrison, Lenae Morrison, Riley Hobbs, Emma Hobbs, Gage Phillips and Gavin Phillips; great-grandchildren, Alexis Morrison and Alexander Cagle; and many nieces and nephews.
