Edna Mae Ballard Chapman, 75, retired Fort Worth ISD worker, entered rest Monday, April 21, 2014. Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, at First St. John Cathedral, 2401 E. Berry St. Interment: Skyvue Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at historic Baker Funeral Home. Edna Mae Chapman was born Nov. 9, 1938, in Monroe, La. Her husband, Leroy Chapman; parents, Bessie Garrett and Edward Ballard; and sisters, Jessie Mae Garrett-Tutt and Mattie Garrett-Stewart, preceded her in death. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Medji Court No. 38, Daughters of Isis. Survivors: Sisters, Ada Jean Garrett-Broussard, Ozelle Garrett-Reed and Maxine Ballard; sister-in-law, Lorine Peoples; stepson, Saint Anthony Chapman; special friend, Barbara Jones; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
