Edward Stevens Obituary
Edward Stevens, 75, passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, in the comfort of his home in Fort Worth surrounded by his family. Graveside service: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Edward Lane Stevens, also known as Dad, Uncle Ed, Big Ed, Precious, Pawpaw and Big Pawpaw, was born Dec. 27, 1938, in Comanche. He had been in the car business since 1971 and was a self-made man. He bought his first car at age 13, before he could legally drive, using money he earned in his own business. He loved playing for money and had a real knack for winning. Edward was genuine and generous and wherever he was, the party followed. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ima Jean and Ermalee. Survivors: Loving wife of 30 years, Annette Stevens; sons, Edward Lane Stevens and wife, Donna, Bobby Stevens and wife, Cindy, David Stevens and wife, Francine, Chance Stevens and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Sherrie Reynolds and husband, Chuck; stepson, Chris Long; stepdaughter, Andrea Long; grandchildren, Brent Stevens, Angel Brooker, Bradley Stevens, Jake Stevens, Samantha Stevens, Chase Reynolds, Blake Reynolds, Keali Stevens, Lane Stevens; five great-grandchildren; sister, Eva Nell Lancaster; his beloved companion, Morgan; and many friends.
