Elizabeth Pabalan Whitcomb Obituary
Elizabeth "Beth" Jimenez Pabalan Whitcomb, 55, of Arlington passed away Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, peacefully in her sleep at home with family. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Monday at Gateway Church. Viewing: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Alpine Funeral Home, 2300 N. Sylvania Ave., Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Prevent Cancer Foundation, preventcancer.org. She was born to Alejandro Pabalan and Augustina Jimenez, March 26, 1958, in Santa Teresita, Angeles, Pampanga, Philippines. Beth graduated from Holy Angel University in 1975, was degreed as a medical secretary and later received her license as a vocational nurse from Texas State Technical College in 2007. She married Wayne Whitcomb in 1983, and they lived in Yokosuka, Japan, before relocating to Arlington in 1985. Beth was a nurse until she became ill earlier this year with liver cancer. She was passionate about making a difference in the lives of her patients. She truly believed that you should always treat others as you yourself would want to be treated. She loved music, dance and traveling. There is nothing that she enjoyed more than being able to spend time with her family, friends, children and grandchildren. Survivors: Her mom, Augustina; father, Alejandro; her brothers, Jack and Rene, all of Santa Teresita, Angeles City, Philippines; and children, Marc Whitcomb of North Richland Hills, Dustin Whitcomb and Jessica Whitcomb of Arlington. She also is survived by her grandchildren, Isaiah, Isabel and Peyton of North Richland Hills and Makai Lee of Arlington.
