Faye Morrow Brown Obituary
Faye Roselee Morrow Brown, 95, passed away Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013. Graveside service: Noon Monday in Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Faye was born April 4, 1918, in Fort Worth to Thomas Vernon Morrow and Greta Gladys Younger Morrow. She married Guy McNeal Brown on Nov. 26, 1942. Faye was active in her working years in Business Women of Fort Worth and was Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, both local and state. She and Guy were early leaders in establishing the Republican Party in Tarrant County. They were very active in the Poly Presbyterian Church. Her first job was with Swift & Co. where her father, Thomas Vernon Morrow, worked. She also worked for the Sinclair Building, leasing offices. The Neighborhood Watch program was very important to her. For several years, Faye patrolled her neighborhood in her car, sometimes riding with the officers. She cared about the safety of her friends and neighbors. Her dearest friend, Molly, who was a constant companion and protector, preceded her in death by a few months. She guarded Aunt Faye fearlessly and Aunt Faye loved her dearly. So much so that Molly will be buried with her. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lee, and sisters, Esther and Irene. Survivors: Brother, Billy Eugene, who is 83; nieces and nephews, Linda Dorsey of San Antonio, Greta Kimray of Edgewood, N.M., Mattison "Matt" Wiley of Fort Worth, Larry Wiley of Fort Worth and Curtis Morrow of Fort Worth.
