On Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, God decided to call his angel, Gertrude Elizabeth Varner, home. Memorial service: Noon Saturday, Aug. 25, at New Smith Chapel, 4403 MLK Freeway, Fort Worth. Survivors: Elizabeth is survived by four brothers of Canada; children, Mitzi Varner, MaryEllen Varner, Ezra L. Varner Jr. and Janet Varner Wright; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
