Professor Dollar was an incredible instructor and person. He was always so sweet and had such a kind heart. I struggled in one of his classes, but he was always encouraging, with a smile on his face, and always willing to help. He loved what he taught and was completely dedicated to the success of his students. We were lucky to have had him as a teacher and mentor. He will be missed.

I always joked around that, as my statistics professor, he took pity on me because he went above and beyond his duty to help me along in class...but that was just the kind of man and educator he was. Always willing to help and sacrifice AND always did it with a smile. He was such a joy to be around both in and out of the classroom as his energy was contagious. As a professional in higher education today, I still use him as an example of exemplary service in higher education.

Dr. Dollar was one of my favorite professors at TCU. He may have been a tough professor, but he truly cared about his students' success and only wanted the best for them. He was always so sweet in class and his stories about his childhood were precious. It's comforting to know he is in a better place.

H. G. Dollar was a dear friend. He was fully devoted to his numerous students (literally thousands over the years!). His kindness and love toward them and his fellow TCU faculty members remain as a testomony to his strong faith in his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. This faith was lived out daily with no pretense. It was indeed a privilege and honor to work alongside this humble and gentle man.
His life was a living example of the fruit of the spirit which is: "Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance: against such there is no law. -Galatians 5: 22-23.

Dr. Dollar was a genuinely kind man. You would never know if he was having a bad day because he never let it show. The TCU family has lost a wonderful man. Rest in peace, Dr. Dollar.
