Hulen Wade Cox, 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Saturday at North Pointe Baptist Church in Hurst. Viewing will begin at noon Saturday as well. Interment with full military honors will follow in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the SHINE Campaign at North Pointe Baptist Church. Hulen was born in Cooke County on June 22, 1924. He entered the U.S. Air Force and retired after 29 years of service. Hulen was a deacon and loved serving at his church. He was preceded in death by his brother, Wendell, and great-granddaughter, Jessica Lin. Survivors: Loving wife of 66 years, Dorothy; daughter, Linda Whitten and husband, Harold; grandsons, Jason Whitten, Jeremy Whitten and wife, Michele; great-grandchildren, Anna Kate, Cooper Wade, William Jackson, and Sophia Rae; sister, Nell McNairn and husband, Harold; and a host of other dear family and friends.
