James Burton Wattier Obituary
James Burton Wattier, 89, passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Rosary: 6 p.m. Wednesday in Greenwood Chapel. James was an avid fisherman and dove hunter. He was active in youth baseball programs in west Fort Worth. He loved to watch basketball regularly. He was an ensign - Navy pilot from 1942 to 1945. His career included working for General Dynamics in Fort Worth, General Atomic in California and retired in 1986. In retirement his favorite pastime was ballroom dancing and he was very active within his church, St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol M. Wattier, and sister, Jean Dwight Owen. Survivors: Children, Mark J. Wattier and wife, Debbie, Scott K. Wattier, Cindy L. Byrne and husband, Randy; sister, Ramona Roth; grandchildren, Rachel Wattier and husband, Jack Challis, Jason M. Wattier, Devon Nowlin and husband, Gabriel, Erin Wattier, William J. Byrne and wife, Jennifer, Theresa N. Byrne, Sean M. Byrne; and great-grandson, Wesley Martin.
