James "Jim" Fraga Obituary
James Glenn Fraga was a godly man, defined by his faith in Jesus Christ. His courageous battle ended Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013. Celebration of life: 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Memorials: Donations may be made to The Living Gift, Medical City Transplant Center, 7777 Forest Lane, C750, Dallas, Texas 75230. Jim was born in Oakland, Calif., to Edward and Irene Fraga on March 30, 1952. His journey as a believer started in 1976 when he joined World Over the World Ambassadors and devoted his life to sharing God's love. Jim loved and enjoyed life with his wife, CeLeste, who cared for him with unwavering devotion. He was patient and wise, and a loving father who taught his children to live life by Christ's example. From a young age, Jim was passionate about music and began playing the drums at age 12. He played throughout high school and college with Bold Truth, a soul band, and for the past 16 years with the Southlake Community Band. Jim had a successful 38-year career in domestic and international freight sales and senior management where he touched the lives of many. His most recent position was director of sales and marketing at Sharp Freight Systems in Dallas. The family wishes to thank Tina Stevens for her selfless gift of life in 2011 and Ardent Hospice for its loving care. Survivors: Jim will be remembered by his loving wife, CeLeste, devoted children, Julie (Dan Paterson), Katie (Chris Mize) and Jimmy Fraga. He is also survived by his beloved grandsons, Blake and Clay Mize; brother, Edward (Shirley Fraga); sister, Rosemary (Vince DeLaurentis); nephew, Ken Fraga; niece, Tana Arambula; and their families.
