Jasper Ashcraft Obituary
Jasper Ashcraft, 73, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Jasper was born in Granbury on July 22, 1940, to Lovella McNeely Ashcraft and Samuel Ashcraft. He served with the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1964 and was stationed in Germany. Jasper retired from Freuhauf Trailers as the final assembler for the trailers and a forklift operator. He was a super special father who took in his two stepdaughters and raised them as his own as a loving father would do. He was the fun dad of the neighborhood who enjoying playing with his kids and the other kids every day after work. He was preceded in death by the only love of his life, Linda; his parents; and a sister, Leona. Survivors: Children, Cindy Ysleta Jackson, Windy Cesleta Jackson; grandchildren, Tabitha Pope and Micah Weller; and six great-grandchildren.
