Joan Michelle Obituary
Joan Claire "J.C." Michelle, lifelong caregiver and 49-year professional nurse, passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013. Celebration of life: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Alpine Funeral Home, 2300 N. Sylvania Ave. Her body will be cremated for later interment next to her son in Maryland. Memorials: The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made at the Carter Blood Center, or financial contributions made to a scholarship fund in her name at UTA's College of Nursing, Attention: Karen Mullowney, Box 19407, Arlington, Texas 76019-0407, or online at www.uta.edu/giving. Joan was born in March 24, 1938, in Youngstown, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick Joseph and Margaret Devanny; a son, Robert Fahlgren; and four brothers, James, John, Francis and Richard Devanny. Survivors: Daughters, Tammy Nabors (Gary) of Fort Worth and Susan Rothschild (Scott) of Topeka, Kan.; son, Russell Fahlgren (Stacey) of Royce City; sister, Mary Morrall of Niles, Ohio; granddaughter, Samantha Olvera (Michael) of Fort Worth; grandsons, Josh Grace (Sarah) of Irving, Paul Fahlgren of Dallas and Joseph and Daniel Rothschild, both of Topeka, Kan.; great-granddaughter, Alanna Michelle Olvera; great-grandson, Galileo Michael Olvera, both of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
