I was saddened to hear the news of Karl's passing. Karl was already a well respected fixture in the aviation business when I began my career at Hartzell Propeller over 36 years ago. I have learned much in my many conversations with Karl over those years and will miss his distinctive voice greeting me on the phone. Karl was a straight shooter, a honest man and kind heart; he will be missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his family and the employees of Byam Propeller Service.

Patricia, Steve and Mike, Sorry for your loss. From the first time I met Karl (Karl with a "K" he would say) his mischievous personality shined bright, and the knowledge he shared overwhelmed me. Karl always had a smile, a joke to share and every time I met or talked to Karl he made me smile too.

May God be with you through this time of such a heavy heart. All will miss Karl, but none more than you.

You and Karl are in my prayers, May God Bless.

Although I did not have the pleasure of personally meeting Karl, I heard so many great things about him. From what I've heard he was an icon in the aviation industry and will be missed. I have asked Gary Jordan to dedicate the biggest and best catch to Karl's memory during their annual Alaska fishing trip this month. To Patricia, Steve and Mike, my heartfelt condolences. May the Lord wrap each of you in His arms with the assurance that you are not alone during your time of loss. Patricia, after 62 years with Karl, I imagine you will carry on some beautiful memories to comfort you too.

I will miss his visits when he would have pick up and deliveries to Alliance Airport. He loved to come and seat with me and "give me a hard time". I would tense him about needing a chauffeur. He reminded me so much of my father, who I lost almost three years ago. I hope they meet in heaven and become good friends.
