David Locke had always told me about Keith's great guitar playing, I finally heard him playing a telecaster and singing BB King's 'Nobody Loves Me But My Mama, and She Could Be Jivin' Too...' back in the 70's. It was much later that I heard him playing steel on a session at Pantego Sound. Keith was truly a natural musician. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Keith and I , along with my sisters, Jeanette and Debbie, were good friends when he was playing in the late 70's and early 80's. He and Jeanette dated for a while. He was on of the best friends I have ever had and I deeply regret not keeping in touch with him. He will be greatly missed. May God be with his family now.. But you know God likes some good ole country music too.
God bless, Pat Hunter

I was very sorry to hear this news. Keith used to make me laugh so hard my sides hurt. And he made many, many people feel totally alive with his music. Even if someone felt bad, his music could still make a person feel so deeply you just had to give up your sadness and go on living. Listening to him play we were reminded that there was always beauty in the world when there was music. My deepest condolences to Treba and Steve and all those who will miss him dearly.

Sorry to learn of Keith's passing. He was a great guy to know in high school and sad that we did not stay closer after 72 graduation. He will be missed by all of those who got a chance to know him.
