Larissa Easley-Kelly Obituary

Larissa Ann Easley-Kelly joined her mother and father, Leila and Bob Francis, in heaven on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 4201 Trail Lake Drive, Fort Worth. A reception will follow. Flowers may be delivered to the church starting on Friday, Feb. 7. Memorials: Contributions may be made to the First Congregational United Church or to the donor's favorite charity. Larissa was from Colorado and was born Dec. 16, 1968. She graduated from Canon City High School, Canon City, Colo., in 1986 and then entered the Air Force where she served honorably from 1986-1996 as an air-launched cruise missile systems maintenance specialist. She served in support of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. Her outstanding service was recognized by the award of the following Air Force decorations and medals: Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon, Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Military Education Medal, and and Air Force Military Training Ribbon. Larissa separated from the Air Force in 1996 and continued to live in Fort Worth. After her military service, she served in several positions, next as a postal worker, later as the manager of Salon Moda in Fort Worth and currently she was the owner and director of the Hilltop Montessori School that is collocated with the First Congregational United Church. Larissa was an amazing woman and was loved by all who knew her. Her love for family and friends was immense and knew no bounds. A true nurturer, her passion centered around her school, the children, and her staff. She was extremely selfless, and the safety, health and welfare of all of them was her number one priority. Her staff, the children of the school and their families were all Larissa's family. She had a huge love for animals and her heart and home always had room for one more, none in need were ever turned away. Survivors: Larissa is survived by her husband, Jerry Moore; her brothers, David and Steve Rowell; stepdaughter, Talia Kelly; best friend of 28 years, Cindy Rainey; and former husband and dear friend, Dennis Easley.

This is a sad day for me. Carswelll 88-90. Was a great time, in part to the bright smile Larissa had every time I saw here. Sunshine on a cloudy day. Joyful. Hoped to see her at a reunion. She holds a special ace in all of us. Condolences to the family she touched. RIP our friend, always

My children attended your school good few years ago while I stayed in Forth Worth, now since moving to the other side of the world , I still have very found memories of you, and your warm heart which still today influence wonderful memories of those days. It was comforting knowing people like you existed, somehow even though I never knew you much at all, I was deeply saddened to hear about this loss.. A loss to the world..! May many years of your positive influence live on in every person you have touched. You were a gift from above, and still are as your memories will live on in those that knew you from close to even those who admired your spirit from afar.. God bless you.

My deepest condolences to Larissa's family & friends. Larissa & I were best friends in high school. I will always cherish the many memories & fun times we shared. I'm sorry that we grew apart the last 20 years & didn't continue our friendship. I'm thankful that she is reunited with her parents who she loved so deeply.

I had the pleasure and honor of meeting you in 1998. You were so wonderful to my wife Rosie and my family Destiny, Kayla and Brandon Chavarria. You were there watching them grow from 3 and 2 years old. Destiny and Kayla are now teenagers. Destiny 17 and Kayla 15. You still would always check on them as they were your own. Providing them advise and love. I am not an emotional person but I have to say that I love you as sister. Everything everyone is saying is true. You looked out for others before yourself. I will truly miss you my friend. We know that through the darkness our memories will find light.

Your Friend Always,
As you would introduced me at times.
Mr.Rosie
Since I was Ms. Rosie's husband

Ever since our days as young Airmen serving at Carswell AFB together, I have loved "living life" through your eyes & many world travels. You always had a way to make people smile & will always live on in my memory as one of my favorite people. I am a better person having known you & will miss you more than you'll ever know.
Until we meet again up Yonder...
RIP my friend.

Larissa, you will be missed by so many! I am greatful to have known you when you were just starting your Air Force journey. Always eager to learn and succeed. Always cheerful, a ball of energy, never without a smile or a kind word.

I am greatful to have run into you years later, when we both worked for the postal service. You spoke of your future plans and education.

Then more years later, we met again at a wonderful reunion of friends. You became a successful business woman, doing what you loved. I know you are smiling down on all of your family, friends and the children ... your world.
Until we meet again my friend ...
