Mark William Marquart Obituary
Mark William Marquart, 42, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013, after a valiant battle with cancer. Memorial service: 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Winscott Road Funeral Home, 1001 Winscott Road. Mark was born March 20, 1971, in Sacramento, Calif. Due to being in a military family, Mark had the opportunity to live in various places, including Guam, before settling in Benbrook/Fort Worth for the past 35 years. Mark attended Benbrook Elementary, Monnig Middle School, Western Hills High School class of 1989 and then went on to receive an associate degree from Tarrant County College. While attending Benbrook Elementary, Mark was in the fifth grade RISE (Gifted and Talented) program. Mark, along with six other students, worked hard and achieved the placement of the historical marker at James M. Benbrook's gravesite in Benbrook Cemetery. Mark loved to read and passed on that love of reading to his daughter. He had an adventurous side, whether it was zip lining, parasailing, tree climbing, feeding a baby tiger, holding an alligator, flying in a World War II airplane or traveling. However, Mark's biggest adventure was opening his own business with his longtime friend, Neil. Mark was a beloved and amazing son, brother, father, uncle and friend. He accomplished a lot in his lifetime. However, Mark's biggest accomplishment, blessing and love was his daughter, Devyn. This wonderful man will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him. Survivors: Daughter, Devyn Teague of Fort Worth; mother, Cheryl Marquart of Benbrook; sister, Elisa Michelle Woodhead and husband, Aaron, of Tulsa, Okla.; brother, Kevin Marquart of Euless; and nieces and nephew, Abby, Lacy, and Ryan Woodhead of Tulsa, Okla.
