Mr. Scott Dally Obituary
Scott Dally, longtime Fort Worth advertising executive, died Sunday at his Annetta home.

He had prostate cancer for almost 17 years but died of respiratory failure, said his wife, Lynda Gearheart Dally. He was 63.

Mr. Dally, in his mid-20s, became president and creative director of Dally Advertising.

He had no college degree, just his talents, instincts and experience honed from working with his father. In time, his agency became one of the most successful in Fort Worth and the Southwest.

Friends remembered him as an intelligent, amiable nonconformist, a creative powerhouse who was generous with his talent and his money.

"Scott was one of the true visionaries in the advertising agency business in Fort Worth," said Wes Turner, his longtime friend and former Star-Telegram publisher.

"I truly believe he was the best and most persuasive salesman I ever met. His creativity went well beyond the placement and design of advertising. He was gifted at creating strong brand awareness."

In addition to his wife, survivors include a son, Erik Dally; brothers Paul and Bart Dally; sisters Lynn and Cris Dally; and six grandchildren.
