Vesta Anne Greenleaf Kane of Dallas passed away peacefully Friday, March 1, 2013, in Dallas, surrounded by her loving family. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Thursday at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home in Dallas. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Magdelene House, 1302 Redwood Circle, Dallas, Texas 75218. Vesta was born Dec. 18, 1945, in Corpus Christi. She was the daughter of Harold Kane and Sixie Greenleaf of Fort Worth. Vesta was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Harold and Mike Greenleaf and Gus Hartgrove; and brother-in-law, David B. Norsworthy. Survivors: Her loving daughters, Katharine Kane Galo and Kristen Galo Peters of Dallas; her precious grandchildren, Claudia Kane Peters and Frederick McAllen Peters of San Antonio; her loving and loyal brother, David Greenleaf and his wife, Carolyn, of Dallas; sister, Lucia Waggoner and her husband, Richard, of Wichita Falls; her sisters-in-law, Judy Norsworthy, Kaye Greenleaf and Margaret Greenleaf; and numerous nieces and nephews.
