William Henry Dyer, 41, a loving father, son and brother, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at home, surrounded by his family. Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday at Alexander's Midway, 3607 E. Highway 199, Springtown. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Henry was born Nov. 25, 1972, in Seoul, South Korea, to Willard C. and Un Cha Kang Dyer. His father preceded him in death. Henry worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Haltom City and was a diehard Cowboys fan. Survivors: Children, Chance, Arizona and Kaitlin Dyer; mother, Un Cha Dyer; brother, Samuel Dyer and wife, Cari; caregiver and his children's mother, Christy Shuler-Denekamp; nieces and nephew, Madison and Ethan; and a host of friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Henry's passing. I met Henry when he was a child and attended Camp Joy in Greensboro, NC. I was an assistant counselor working with the children who were deaf. The experience of working with Henry and the other children helped me to fall in love with ASL and led to a life of working with children who are deaf.
My prayers are with all who love Henry.

Henry was a '"one of a kind" type of guy. He always lit up a room with his smile when he walked in! I'll definitely miss my conversations with him and hearing his laughter! I'll also miss his "sayings" that he had! He will definitely be missed by me and my softball "family" and it just won't be the same without him! See you at the end of the road of this life!
