Howard C. Hill Obituary
Howard C. Hill, 86, beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away after a life well lived and well loved Friday, Feb. 14, 2014. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Visitation: 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials: in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends for Animals in Acton, Texas, or a . He attended Arlington Heights High School, where he was an All-American quarterback of the football team and later boxed in the Golden Gloves. After college, Howard served in the Merchant Marines, the Army and the Air Force as a Morse code specialist. He married Joyce and had three children. He started his own insurance firm, Howard Hill Insurance, which ultimately grew to be one of the largest independently owned insurance agencies in Fort Worth. He married Barbara, the love of his life, and shared the past 38 years with her. Together they have enjoyed six children, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and his beloved basset hounds. He will be remembered for his generosity, his caring ways and his love of life. Survivors: Wife, Barbara; children, Holly and Bryan Wilson, Leigh and Jody Page, Leslie and James Honeycutt, John and Debbie Hart, Suzanne and Charles Perry, and Janis Martin; many friends and other family; and his dearly loved puppy, Daisy Mae.
