Curtis Brownlow Obituary
Curtis Tech Brownlow passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, in Arlington following a brief illness. Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter and St. Paul Anglican Church in Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Emerald Hills Funeral Home in Kennedale. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Youth Group Ministries of The Church, 3900 Morris Lane, Arlington, Texas 76016, 817-496-6747. Curtis was born in November 1950 in Hereford. He graduated from Coronado High School in 1969 in Lubbock and attended Texas Tech University and was a graduate of UT-Arlington. Curtis served proudly in the U.S. Army. He recently retired from the Dallas County Public Works Department after 28 years of service as a right-of-way appraiser. He was preceded in death by his father and brother. Survivors: Those left to remember him include his loving wife, Joycelyn Brownlow of Arlington; mother, Elsie Brownlow; brother, Kenny Bob Brownlow; sister, Sheila Nordyke; nieces, Megan Nordyke and Manda Segerra, Jennifer Brownlow; nephew, Ronald W. Brownlow; stepchildren, Laura Van Meter, Jennifer Burns-Dill and Paul Burns; and grandchildren, Sam Van Meter, Gabe Van Meter, Jaclyn Van Meter, Sawyer Dill, Jackson Dill and Henry Burns.
