Ronald Szumski Obituary
Ronald Szumski passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, in Grapevine. Celebration of life: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel in Colleyville. Ronald was born Jan. 9, 1955, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to William and Wanda Szumski. He was a well-respected employee at American Airlines for 36 years. Ronald enjoyed working with his hands and had a love for nature and music. Although he lived in Texas, he was a New Yorker at heart. He was a New York Giants fan and loved watching the Texas Rangers and the New York Mets play baseball. Ronald was an accomplished cyclist; he was a member of the Wheeler Dealer Cycle Team and participated in the MS 150 for several years. He was preceded in death by his father, William Szumski, and his mother, Wanda Unger. Survivors: His loving wife, Julie; son, Ryan; daughter, Sara; brother, Bill and his wife, Nora; niece, Candice and her husband, Chadwick Williams; and many relatives and friends.
