William Vaden Obituary
William Kenneth Vaden of Irving died peacefully at home Friday, April 11, 2014. Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home, Irving. Military interment: Hillcrest Memorial Park, Dallas. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please donate to Operation Kindness where he met his last great loves, Nikki and Marie. He was born Sept. 17, 1923, to Isham Ira and Elizabeth Vaden in Birthright. He joined the Army Air Corps (later Air Force) in 1942 and retired in 1964. He said he had a good life, had been all over the world, ate lots of good food and kissed many beautiful women. In 1961, he married Terue Matsumoto and adopted her daughter, Tamae. Together they had Theresa and they remained together until her death in 1988. He enjoyed dogs, children, fishing, traveling, camping, telling stories and coconut cream pie. He was predeceased by his son, William Vaden Jr.; his parents; and his brothers. Survivors: His daughters; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
