Helen P. Hale Obituary
Helen Patricia Hale, 84, passed away at home Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Funeral: 11:30 a.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Hines officiating. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet. Pallbearers will be Jeff Griffith, Ed Turner, Scott MacArthur and Tom Resz. Helen was the daughter of Babe and Ruth Little. She had been married to Jesse Ray Hale Jr. for 53 years at his death in 2001. She had lived in Texas, California and England, and had visited many foreign countries. Helen served alongside Ray in their church and communities with her energy, grace, wisdom and wit. She enjoyed entertaining, singing, playing piano, sewing, swimming, bowling, decorating, shopping, working puzzles and planting flowers. She was an accomplished cake decorator and seamstress, and taught her skills to many others. Helen touched lives and created precious memories. As Helen neared death, she was surrounded by the love of her family and friends, and she was at peace in the assurance of her faith. She had good days and bad days on earth, but now has only magnificent days in heaven. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Hale Jr.; brother, Buddy Little; sisters-in-law, Bettye and Carol Ann Little; and brother-in-law, Bill Wallace. Survivors: Daughters, Jeanne Cloward, Jan Betz and Susie Hale; brothers, Andy Little and wife, Lou, and Mike Little and wife, Carol; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
