Anna Marie Heinz Wooley Obituary
Anna Marie Wooley passed into heaven Monday, May 5, 2014. Memorial service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington. Private family burial. The family will receive friends and relatives from 8 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Moore. She was born July 12, 1930, to Louis and Veda Belle Wofford Heinz in Stafford, Ariz. Anna will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. Reg and Anna hosted many social events at their home during their years together where all were welcome. Reg and Anna celebrated their anniversary monthly, by candlelight. Anna retired from the city of Arlington in 1986 after serving as secretary to the city manager, Ross Calhoun, and three Arlington mayors, Tom Vandergriff, S.J. Stovall and Harold Patterson. She was active in the City of Arlington Retired Employees (CARE) Club. She was a Baptist and a member of Highland Baptist Church in Arlington. Anna enjoyed traveling and extended visits with her sisters. Anna was preceded in death by her parents; all four sisters, Louise Givens, Rena Blair, Vada Lyons and Veda Myers; and her granddaughter, Jala Gilbert. Survivors: Anna is survived by a son, Cecil W. Gilbert. Her surviving grandchildren are Lenny and wife, Beth, Cody, Chase, Dane and Karlee; and great-grandchildren, Cantyn, Cade, Kyle, Addison, William, Caroline and Trey.
