Jerry Alan Nagel of Mansfield went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Celebration of life: 2 p.m. Sunday at Blessing Funeral Home, 401 Elm St., Mansfield, 76063. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Texas Chapter of American Foundry Society, care of Canfield and Joseph, Inc., 566 N. Beach St., Fort Worth, Texas 76111. He was born Nov. 27, 1961, in Kansas City, Mo., to Lawrence R. Nagel and Patricia Purcell Baer. Jerry was a longtime resident of Independence, Mo. He graduated from Truman High School and moved to Mansfield in 1995. Jerry was chairman of the Texas Chapter of the American Foundry Society (AFS), and a proud member for 18 years, serving in multiple positions on the board. He was president of Canfield and Joseph. He was a member of the MGA at Walnut Creek Country Club. Survivors: Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 29 years, Rebecca Nagel of Mansfield; sons, Jack Clark and wife, Katie, of Independence, Mo., Derek Nagel and wife, Megan, of Arlington; daughter, Danielle Nagel of Mansfield; grandchild, Isaac Clark of Independence, Mo.; parent, Lawrence Nagel of Harrisonville, Mo., and Pat Baer of Independence, Mo.; brother, Larry Nagel and wife, Mary, of Lee's Summit, Mo.; sisters, Kerry Joseph and husband, Tom, of Claremore, Okla., Janice Joseph and husband, Greg, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; mother-in-law, Iva Scott of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, countless friends and business associates.
