Dorcas was born on Jan. 5, 1921, to Maudie and Harry Miller of Mineral Wells. She was the last surviving of seven children. She grew up in Mineral Wells and moved to Fort Worth with the love of her life and husband, Ruben Riley "Ray" Mills Jr. Dorcas and Ray had two sons, Larry R. Mills and wife, Dana, of Fort Worth and Danny W. Mills and wife, Amanda, of San Antonio. Dorcas nursed Ray through a battle with cancer until his death in 1983, during which time she met another couple, a neighbor battling the disease. During the time of delivering food and friendship, she began talking to the man whom she later fell in love with and eventually married, Malcolm H. Holloway. Dorcas and Malcolm traveled and lived a full life, enjoying each other until Malcolm passed away in 2003. Dorcas was a member of Connell Baptist Church in Fort Worth for over 60 years and was a true instrument for her Lord and Savior, spreading her infectious smile and good cheer and her love for Him to all that she met, and she never met a stranger! Dorcas was very proud of her name, telling everyone of its biblical origin and using that as a reason to discuss her love for God. She was preceded in death by both husbands, Ray and Malcolm; her six siblings; and many close friends. Survivors: Sons, Larry Mills and wife, Dana, and Danny Mills and wife, Amanda; grandchildren, Ronald Chaney Mills and wife, Wendy, of Fort Worth, Aaron Ray Mills and wife, Lori, of Glen Rose, Ashleigh Morgan Mills of San Antonio and Brandon Daniel Mills of Los Angeles; great-grandchildren, Meredith Danielle Mills of Fort Worth, Rylee Lanelle Mills and Brock McCoy Mills of Glen Rose. She is also survived by Malcolm's two daughters, whom she loved as if they were her own, Lynne Neil and husband, Jim, and Deborah Cole, both of Fort Worth.
