1949 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
Ronald EuDean Fanning Obituary
The Lord called home Ronald EuDean Fanning early Saturday morning, June 7, 2014. Funeral: Noon Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Haltom City, 5800 Denton Highway. Interment: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Biggers Funeral Home. Ron's passion in life was his beautiful bride of 32 years and his large family. Ron was born in Nevada, Mo., on Nov. 13, 1949. He had the roar of a lion but the heart of a lamb. He was an extraordinary example of a giving heart. Ron was a member of the First Baptist Church of Haltom City. Ron loved his three T's: Trucks, Tools, and Trailers. When he wasn't tinkering with his tools or cleaning out his garage, he was teaching his kids and grandkids the importance of family and friends. He never met a stranger and he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be forever remembered for his adoration of the guitar. He taught himself how to play and instilled the love of music in his family. He was a born carpenter and loved the results of what he accomplished with his own hands. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Kay Fanning, and his sister, Margorie Epps. He was the oldest son to Ivan and Bonnie Fanning and he was reunited with all of them on Saturday. He will be greatly missed, but we are comforted knowing he is walking with our Lord. Survivors: Ron is survived by his wife, Liz; his son, Richard Fanning and his wife, Amy; his daughters, Teresa Fanning and her husband, James, Holly Lang and her husband, David, and Rhonda Alvarez; his brother, James Fanning; his sister, Joyce Koelhoeffer; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
