Russel Rives "Russ" Reed Obituary
Russel Rives "Russ" Reed, beloved son, father, brother and uncle, left this earth Sunday, June 8, 2014. Celebration of life: and memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 16, at McKinney Bible Church, 4805 Arborlawn Way, Fort Worth, followed by a reception. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Greenwood. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The WARM Place, 809 Lipscomb St., Fort Worth, Texas 76104, or The Life Vest Project at Possum Kingdom Lake at thelvproject.org Russ was born June 19, 1971, and lived his life in Fort Worth. He went to OU for "37 minutes," didn't pass any courses, but had a wonderful time and made many friends! He returned to Fort Worth, got a grip and put himself through college graduating from TWC while also working full time. He was a local Fort Worth builder, well known in town. He always felt his greatest blessing was the gift of his twin boys, Rex and Ryan Reed. Russ was known for a larger than life personality, caring, but extremely carefree, and was loved by everyone who met him. Survivors: Loving parents, Judith and Myron Reed; sons, Ryan and Rex Reed; sisters, Cindy Warren (Brad) and Cate Frazier (Duffy); nephew, Max; and former wife, Meredith Reed.
