William Louis Lotspeich Obituary
William Louis Lotspeich Jr., 90, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014, in Grapevine. Service: Friends are cordially invited to share in a visitation with the family Saturday from 1 p.m. until service time in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville. A celebration of life will be conducted at 2 p.m., with Pastor Terry Washburn officiating. Louis was born in Robstown on Jan. 9, 1924, to William and Maggie Lotspeich. He was raised in Houston and graduated from San Jacinto High School. Louis attended the University of Houston and Texas A&M to become a petroleum engineer and a safety engineer. Louis worked for Dowell Schlumberger as a petroleum engineer, and then worked for Insurance Company of North America/Signa as a safety engineer and implosion specialist. He successfully completed the Dale Carnegie Leadership Training and was a proud and decorated veteran. Louis served his country in World War II and the Korean War. During World War II he was in the Army Air Corps as a gunner and flight engineer as well as a technical sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. On Sept. 20, 1945, he married Miriam Clara Feser and together they had two children. Survivors: Louis is survived by his loving wife, Miriam; children, William Louis Lotspeich III and Carol Lynn Lotspeich Dohmen and her husband, Philip Dohmen; and grandchildren, Janice Jean Lotspeich Hoover, Lauren Christian Ludwick Dohmen, Olivia Faith Ludwick Dohmen and Angelika Hope Ludwick Dohmen. He will be with us wherever we go.
