Mary "Sally" DaPrile Obituary
Mary "Sally" DaPrile, 94, a resident of Arlington for 60 years, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014, after battling a long illness at a local hospice. Service: Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1200 S. Davis Drive, Arlington. Entombment: Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas. Viewing and rosary: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Wade Family Funeral Home, 4140 W. Pioneer Parkway, Arlington, with a rosary at 7 p.m. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, take the money and do something special for yourself. Sally was born Nov. 11, 1919, in Carteret, N.J. She moved to Arlington in 1954 with her family from New Jersey. Sally made lifelong friends here and enjoyed many activities with "the gang," including weekly bingo, poker club, birthday celebrations, weekend trips to the casinos and, most important, creating a bond and support for one another that got them through all of life's ups and downs. She was a longtime member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Arlington. Our heartfelt thanks go to Arlington Memorial Hospital and staff especially the Hospice Unit, Kindred Hospital and Dr. Chai. Sally was given so much respect, kindness and dignity. The gentle touch of the nurses, technicians and doctors, with their dedication to their patients is truly a blessing. Thank each and every one of you for what you do for the families and the patients that choose to spend their final days on your unit. Sally was preceded in death by her husband, Michael "Curly" DaPrile. Survivors: Sons, Michael N. DaPrile and wife, Susan, and Walt DaPrile and wife, Carolynn; grandchildren, Kimberly, Chris, Michelle, Ashley, Landon, Josh and Michael; and eight great-grandchildren.
