1939 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
William D. "Bill" Josserand Sr. Obituary
William D. "Bill" Josserand Sr., 74, a longtime Texas contractor and entrepreneur, passed away Saturday afternoon, July 19, 2014. Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday at Zion Valley Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Chico. Cryptside service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet. Bill Josserand was born in Corsicana, to RE and Evelynn Josserand on Dec. 18, 1939. After graduation from Birdville High School, he had several career opportunities with Bell Helicopter and Andrews Tower, but chose to spend over three decades of his life as the friend and business partner to his father. Together they operated multiple businesses, including Onyx Construction Co., a municipal water and sewer treatment contractor; Josh Inc., a specialized trucking company; Pajo Inc., an industrial electrical contractor; and numerous joint ventures, one of which included the demolition of the historic Swift meat packing plant on the north side of Fort Worth. In the later years of his life, Bill was blessed to spend his years with the true love of his life, Alma Taylor. Together they operated a successful cattle operation, leased and brokered mineral rights, and built a life together that most only dream of. His bulldogged determination and unwillingness to compromise were the hallmarks that made Bill who he was and provided for the security of all whom he loved and cared for. He will be deeply missed. Survivors: His true love, partner and best friend, Alma Taylor; and his family, William D. Josserand Jr., Melody Josserand, Kody and Taylor Josserand, Ricky Taylor, Stacey Taylor, Rhett, Randi and Raider Taylor.
