Linda Smyser Obituary
Linda Kay Bohrer Smyser, 69, was lifted up by our Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014. Celebration of life: 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood Chapel. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Greenwood. Linda was born Feb. 14, 1945, in Parsons, Kan., to Noreene and Kermit O. Bohrer Sr. She spent her adolescent years in Erie, Kan., and moved to Fort Worth where she resided for most of her adult life. Linda was a member of the Fort Worth Iris Society. She loved gardening in her back yard, where she grew hundreds of irises, and she won several awards for the irises she entered into competition. Linda loved animals, especially dogs, and raised various breeds throughout her life. Her favorites were Doberman Pinschers and Yorkshire Terriers. She always had a few cats and dogs at her side. Linda loved her family and friends. She was the strong, solid rock who was always there for them to confide in. She touched the hearts of so many and will be sorrowfully missed. Survivors: Children, Sheri Patman, Debra Smyser and Michael Smyser; four grandchildren; and her brother, Kermit O. Bohrer Jr.
