Margaret Saleh Rolling Obituary
Margaret Saleh Rolling, widow of John Francis Rolling, died peacefully on Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014. Service: Vigil at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Holy Family Catholic Church, Deacon Joseph Milligan, celebrant. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Thompson's Harveson & Cole. Additional services in Tyler on Thursday. Helen Margaret Saleh was born on Dec. 29, 1921, in Tyler to Ellis and Helen Haddad Saleh. She was a 1939 graduate of Tyler High School where she was a cheerleader. Margaret and her sister, Katherine, were with the Tyler Civic Theatre, where they learned the eskimo rumba taught by an expedition expert from Alaska. An officer with the National Secretaries Association, Margaret was employed by the La Gloria Oil and Gas Co. and a member of the Cedars of Lebanon in Tyler. Margaret and John married in 1964 and they moved to Fort Worth in 1971. Margaret was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church where she worked as secretary to the church and school. She volunteered for Mother and Unborn Baby Care, Texas Right to Life, and the Republican Party for many years. She enjoyed bridge and traveled the world. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, John, and brothers, Mitchell and Albert Saleh. Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, Joan Marie Rolling Lawson and her children, Johnny and Jordan Marie Lawson; sister, Katherine Saleh Peters; and many nieces and nephews from Tyler and Dallas.
