Barbara Stevens Obituary
Barbara Anne Stevens, 85, passed away Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, in Grapevine. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Saturday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Barbara was born Feb. 16, 1929, in Akron, Ohio. She was a lover of life, laughter, and all creatures great and small. She was a devoted wife and a loving and nurturing mother of six daughters and a son, Mark Louis, grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of two. She was a published author and an accomplished artist. She was a generous, kind, funny and unique lady. She believed anything was possible and she proved that in her many successful business ventures. Her extraordinary artistic creativity was apparent in every aspect of her life including her painting, gardening, cooking, sewing and mosaics. She will forever be in our hearts. In loving memory of Barbara Anne Stevens. Survivors: Daughter, Susan Marie and husband, James Jansen, of Fremont, Calif.; grandsons, Michael Eugene Jansen and Timothy James Jansen; daughter, Jennifer Anne and husband, David Scott, of Colleyville; granddaughters, Elizabeth Anne Scott and Kathryn Louise Scott; daughter, Emily Joan Stevens of Long Beach, Calif.; grandchildren, Paul Stevens Tillison, Andrew John Tillison and Megan Barbara and husband, Justin Boswood; great-grandchildren, Emily and Killian; daughter, Amy Jean Stevens and husband, George Carranza, of Grapevine; grandsons, William George Carranza and Samuel Neil Carranza; daughter, Elizabeth Jane and husband, Scott Nelson, of Colleyville; granddaughters, Jane Nelson and Laura Nelson; daughter, Edith Louise of Grapevine; and grandson, Matt Williams.
