Jane Wirsing Bailey, 84, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012. Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Jane was born on July 29, 1928, in Fort Worth, the eldest of six to Bertie Lou Barber Wirsing and Guy Sidney Wirsing Sr. She was cherished by her family and friends and shared a life of dignity and unselfishness. She loved reading, gardening, nature and was a gifted planner. Jane enjoyed supervision in Logistics Management at General Dynamics where she retired after 33 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, B.L.Knowles Jr. and Wendell P. Bailey; sisters, Joice Wirsing Meador and Betty Leath. Survivors: Son, Baxter L. Knowles III; daughter, Nancy Johnson Knowles; stepdaughter, Julia Lindley; stepson, Dannie Bailey; grandson, Jeff K. Johnson and wife, Ann; great-grandsons, Jett Johnson and Kade Johnson; sister, Ann Wyatt; brothers, Guy Sidney Wirsing and wife, Pat, Jerry Wirsing and wife, Shirley; brother-in-law, C H Meador; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
