Gail Pauline Peterson Obituary
Gail Pauline Peterson went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 3, 2013. She was 57 years old. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday at Hillside Community Church, 9915 Ray White Road, Keller. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pregnancy Help 4 U,, Fort Worth Pregnancy Center, Gail was born in Des Moines, Iowa. She had a true servant's heart and touched the life of anyone and everyone she met. She especially developed a passion for helping pregnant women in need, but her love knew no bounds. She was a devoted wife to Don for 27 years, with whom she thoroughly enjoyed her travels overseas. She was also a loving and attentive mother to her two children. Growing up in a large and tight-knit household, she developed a love for entertaining large groups of loved ones by cooking, baking or just being her quirky self. She loved comforting others, whether it was by praying for them or making them laugh. She enjoyed expressing her creativity through paper-crafting, jewelry making, knitting and sewing. She worked as an active Stampin' Up demonstrator for five years and cherished all of the staff and children she worked with at North Riverside Elementary, where she worked as a school nurse. She was devoted to the Lord as an active member of Hillside Community Church where she fostered many close relationships that helped her grow in Christ. Her compassion will be cherished and missed by all who experienced even a fraction of it. The suddenness of her passing leaves so many things unsaid, but we know that she stands by the Lord above. Gail was preceded in death by her mother Dolores Fath; and father, Richard Fath. Survivors: Husband, Donald Peterson; children, Crystal and Christian Peterson; brother, Jim Fath of Des Moines, Iowa; sisters, Dawn Underwood of Des Moines, Iowa, Libby Morse of Garland, Kirsten Fath of Des Moines, Iowa, Mary Rolland of Cleveland, Ohio, and Melissa Fath of Iowa City, Iowa.
