Glenn Coolidge Jr. Obituary
Glenn Harrison Coolidge Jr. passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013, in Fort Worth. Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 1, at Altamesa Church of Christ, 4600 Altamesa Blvd., Fort Worth. Inurnment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Thursday. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Tarrant County at www.bbbstx.org. Born Jan. 18, 1929, in Wichita Falls, he served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, attaining the rank of sergeant. Later, he was employed by Motts 5 & 10 and retired from Robinson Roofing. Coolidge was an avid volunteer and supporter of Big Brothers and Big Sisters and was the oldest Big Brother in Tarrant County. Survivors: Wife, Mary Jane; sister, Mirla Wright; brother, Carol Coolidge; daughters, Chris, Lisa, Jamie, Linda, Cynthia, Lanette, Denise, Darla and Shelley; and their families, including 23 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
