Troy Dwayne Morris Obituary
Troy Dwayne Morris, 50, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, in Los Angeles, Calif. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, at Community of Life Church, Burleson. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please contact the family. Troy was born March 7, 1963, in Fort Worth. He graduated from Bethel Baptist High School in Arlington and Full Sail University of Recording Arts in Winter Park, Fla., with a specialized associate degree in audio engineering. He was a former member of the Texas Boys Choir. He was lead singer and guitar player in the 1980s with the bands Troubadour and Primitiv Kool. He was an accomplished singer, songwriter, producer and founder of the Los Angeles Songwriters Group. Survivors: Wife, Shelly; daughters, Madelyne, Hannah and Penelope; son, Jameson; parents, Robert and Teresa Morris; brother, Quince Morris; sister, Miranda Denman and husband, Jarod; niece, Alexa Syren; nephews, Tavin and Roston Denman; and great-nephew, Brandon Syren.
