Ronald Edward Williamson Obituary
Ronald Edward Williamson, 48, lost his valiant battle with peritoneal cancer Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013. He fought to the very end. He was a wonderful father, husband, friend and son. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at The Met Church in Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Regions Bank in Keller to the Ron Williamson Family Need Fund. Ron was born April 30, 1965, in El Paso. He was adopted before the age of 1 by Harold Dean Williamson and Elizabeth Abernathy. He attended East Side High School in El Paso and graduated in 1983. After that, he attended Texas Tech University and then went on to graduate from the University of Texas at Austin and received his bachelor of arts degree in philosophy in 1991. Ron married Tracy Williamson on Oct. 25, 2002, in Austin and they have five children between them, Kelsey, 20, Layton, 18, MacKenzie, 16, Cassie, 12, and Izzy, 9. Ron had worked at Guardian Oil and Gas since 2004. He worked in many different capacities but most recently as sales manager and chief compliance officer. Ron was very involved with his church and men's group at The Met Church in Keller and his faith resonated with people in and out of his church family. Ron was instrumental in encouraging men and women to accept and embrace all that God has to offer. He was a wonderful father and husband and saw no boundaries to show love and affection. He will continue to inspire us to be better human beings. Ron was preceded in death by his adoptive parents, Harold Dean Williamson and Elizabeth Abernathy. Survivors: Wife, Tracy; children, Kelsey, Layton, MacKenzie, Cassie and Izzy; sister and brother, Elaine and Michael Williamson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cliff and Kate Kerr; sister-in-law, Meaghan Kerr; and brother-in-law, Brett Kerr.
