After an honorable discharge from the Army, Lloyd began his career in retail management, which he continued until retirement. He walked this earth as one of the gentlest souls ever created. He departed this earth Feb. 14, 2014, as peacefully as he walked it, surrounded by those who loved him. James Kavanaugh wrote, "Some men are too gentle to live among wolves." This is how our dear Poppy lived and how we will always remember him. His legacy will go forward through the family and friends who remember his never-wavering kindness, generosity of spirit and always present love and support. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Ellen Dehlin; and one brother, Maynard Dehlin.
