Jack Brown Obituary
Jack Leon Brown, 69, passed away at his home Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole. Jack was born Feb. 11, 1945, in Dallas, son of the late Elmer Earl and Lillie Belle Malone Brown. He graduated from Bryan Adams High School and received a bachelor's degree in education from the University of North Texas. He served in the Army in Vietnam and received numerous awards and citations, including a Bronze Star. Jack worked for Tarrant County and General Dynamics before joining the city of Fort Worth where he spent nearly 15 years in the Zoning and Development Department before his retirement in 2009. As a cat show judge, Jack received honors for over 20 years of judging of both national and international shows. He also enjoyed watching the Rangers and hunting. Survivors: Wife of 45 years, Bobbie Jean Fairclo Brown; children, Kriston Hamilton and husband, James, Shay Moczygemba and husband, Darryl, and Brian Brown; grandchildren, Brittany Hamilton, Thomas and Madelynn Moczygemba, and Brooke Brown; and brother, Naries Brown.
